Listen to it all unfold now, HERE

IDYLLWILD, Calif. and NEW YORK – July 23, 2024 – Lydia “Dia” Abrams was known in the beautiful mountain town of Idyllwild, California as a glamorous 65-year-old, who, from the outside looking in, seemed to have it all. That is, until she disappeared without a trace on June 6, 2020. In “Where’s Dia?,” an exclusive new six-part podcast series from Pushkin Industries and iHeartPodcasts, journalist Lucy Sherriff reveals the culmination of her four year investigation into Dia’s disappearance, uncovering a tangled web of manipulation, power, estranged families, and greed. “Where’s Dia?” will be available to listeners beginning today, July 23, 2024, with new episodes posting on Tuesdays.

“When someone goes missing, they leave a vacuum. And everyone left behind scrambles to fill that space with reasons why or explanations of how,” says Sherriff. “When Dia went missing, she didn’t get to tell her own story. Her narrative has been crafted by friends, family, lovers – and yes, even enemies. And it’s left to us to decide whose version of events we believe.”

In the days after Dia disappeared, her friends, her neighbors, and her kids began to search for her. They ran through endless theories: was she lying hurt somewhere? Had she run away? Had she been kidnapped? Killed?

It didn’t take long for some to start pointing fingers. Because, it turns out, there were people who could benefit if Dia suddenly disappeared — her estate was worth millions of dollars.

Two men in her life, her son and a man who claims to be her fiance, launch public campaigns to find Dia. But soon, their efforts – and stories – begin to unravel.

“Where’s Dia?” is produced by Pushkin Industries and distributed by iHeartPodcasts. Listeners will find “Where’s Dia?” on the iHeartRadio app and everywhere podcasts are available. Pushkin+ subscribers can binge the entire season early and ad-free.
