iHeartMedia World Premieres New Single from Elton John & Britney Spears; Celebrates iHeartLand Launch with Charlie Puth
NEW YORK, N.Y. – August 26 – iHeartMedia celebrated new music recently with World Premiere debuts across iHeartRadio stations from several hit artists, including Elton John & Britney Spears’ new duet “Hold Me Closer” on August 26 on CHR and Hot AC stations. Also on August 26, Kenny Chesney’s new song “Beer with my Friends” with Old Dominion was featured in the New Music Spotlight slot across all iHeartCountry stations. Last week, rock icon Billy Idol’s new single “Cage” had a World Premiere debut on August 17 across all iHeartRadio Classic Rock stations; the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Tippa My Tongue” had a World Premiere debut on August 19 across all iHeartRadio Alt. Rock stations; and Blake Shelton’s “No Body” had a World Premiere debut on August 19 across all iHeartCountry stations.
This week, iHeartMedia took an exciting step into the metaverse with the launch of iHeartLand, a state-of-the-art, always-on entertainment space where music and gaming collide. Launched in Fortnite, iHeartLand is the first metaverse destination dedicated to bringing fans closer to today’s biggest stars through gameplay. The launch will kick off with a special performance by GRAMMY-nominated singer, songwriter and producer, Charlie Puth–the superstar’s first concert in the metaverse–on September 9 at 7 p.m. ET inside Fortnite at iHeartLand’s State Farm Park. Over the next year, State Farm Park in iHeartLand will host 20 major events across the music and podcasting space including unique artist-fan experiences that can be unlocked through gameplay.
Additionally, iHeartRadio’s YouTube Channels released various interviews with hit artists including Beach Weather, Maggie Lindermann and girl in red. Beach Weather recently visited the iHeartRadio Headquarters where they talked about their new music and latest single “Sex, Drugs, etc.” Maggie Lindermann played a game of “Fan vs. Artist” in which she faced off against one of her super fans in trivia. Singer girl in red also stopped by iHeartRadio headquarters where she talked about her show in New York City and her upcoming performance at the 2022 Daytime Stage at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
