New York, NY – August 18, 2016 – iHeartMedia announced today that it has elevated the roles of executives Michael Preacher and Dave Carwile to align the markets within the Northeast Division to better serve the needs of partners, advertisers and the communities it serves. Effective immediately, the former Mid-Atlantic Region, which consisted of the Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD and Virginia markets, will be realigned. The Washington, DC and Baltimore markets will now form the new Washington, DC Region and the Virginia markets will join the existing Carolina Region to form the new Virginia-Carolina Region. Michael Preacher, formerly Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, will become President of the Washington, DC Region and Government Initiatives. Michael Preacher is a 20-year media veteran who joined iHeartMedia in 2002 as the SVP of Strategic Partnerships, successfully launching the company’s national Strategic Partnerships division.
Region President Dave Carwile will now be President of the Virginia-Carolina Region, which will include Richmond, VA; Harrisonburg, VA; Norfolk, VA; Roanoke and Lynchburg, VA; Winchester, VA; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; Asheville, NC; Greenville, SC; and Greensboro, NC. Carwile is a media and sales veteran with over 22 years of experience, most recently overseeing 27 iHeartMedia station brands as President of the former Carolina Region. “We’re thrilled Michael and Dave will be leading our Washington, DC and Virginia-Carolina Regions using iHeartMedia’s one-of-a-kind assets and resources to benefit our listeners and partners,” said Adkins. “Michael has been instrumental in building iHeartMedia's government initiatives division and his relocation to the nation's capital will add significant value to our government business partners, and Dave’s long history in Virginia and its adjacency to his current region of the Carolinas gives him the right experience to lead our efforts in those states.”
