WHAT: iHeartMedia Philadelphia and Recovery Centers of America today welcomed Grammy and Academy Award-winning singer/songwriter Melissa Etheridge to a special episode of “Recovery 360: Conversations on Addiction and Recovery.” Etheridge, who tragically lost her son Beckett in 2020 following his years-long battle with opioid addiction, will join the hosts for a thoughtful conversation on substance abuse, mental health issues in families and strength and resilience in the face of loss. In episode two, Melissa offers lessons learned after the death of her son: “Let yourself off the hook, find peace with the loss and look for ways to get joy and happiness back into your life.” The newly debuted “Recovery 360” iHeartPodcast is dedicated to exploring pathways to treatment and recovery for individuals struggling with addiction. The 8-episode series features industry-leading clinical experts in addiction treatment from Recovery Centers of America, aiming to break down stigmas and provide real conversations about addiction and recovery.
